Strong families are the foundation of strong communities. West Virginians who work hard should be able to afford a home, raise a family, and build a future right here in our state.
I will focus on lowering everyday costs, expanding access to affordable childcare, and supporting policies that help working families keep more of what they earn.

LOCAL CONTROL
Keeping Important Decisions Close to Home
I support restoring local control to our counties and municipalities when it comes to major development decisions.
House Bill 2014 strips local communities of authority regarding high-impact data centers. I support repealing that law and restoring the ability of local leaders, planners, and taxpayers to have a meaningful voice in decisions that directly affect their communities.
Major development should create jobs and strengthen our economy, but it should also respect local planning, protect taxpayers, and preserve funding for schools and essential local services.

FLOOD PREPAREDNESS
Preparing Our Communities Before Disaster Strikes
We shouldn’t wait until after families lose their homes to invest in flood protection.
Every dollar spent on mitigation can help reduce future recovery costs, protect lives, and keep our communities safer. Flood preparedness means investing before disaster happens and making sure our communities have the infrastructure, communication systems, and emergency resources they need.
I support practical investments that reduce flood risks while also pursuing state and federal funding to lessen the burden on local taxpayers.
Priorities Include:
- Investing in flood prevention, not just disaster recovery
- Improving drainage systems, culverts, and stormwater infrastructure
- Maintaining streams and waterways
- Strengthening emergency warning and communication systems
- Supporting local emergency responders

EDUCATION
Strengthening Education in West Virginia
West Virginia education dollars should benefit West Virginia students.
Our schools need funding that reflects today’s realities, and our counties need the resources necessary to recruit and retain excellent teachers. I also support career and technical education that gives students more opportunities to prepare for good-paying careers here at home.
Taxpayers deserve transparency and accountability for every education dollar spent, including money distributed through the HOPE Scholarship program.

SENIORS & VETERANS
Helping Seniors Live Safely and Independently
Our seniors built the communities we call home. They deserve security, quality healthcare, and the opportunity to live independently.
That means making it easier to reach medical appointments and essential services, protecting seniors from scams and financial exploitation, and supporting programs that reduce isolation and improve quality of life.
We also have a responsibility to make sure veterans receive the benefits and care they have earned.
Priorities Include:

I will support policies that improve transparency, strengthen fiscal responsibility, and reduce unnecessary waste. Government should be accountable to the people it serves and careful with every public dollar it spends.
